7-day, 90 AGD/PACE CE, LIVE patient implant surgical training course. This amazing, and intensive "clinical mini-residency" program spans two days of advanced lecture and hands-on followed by 5 days of LIVE patient surgeries where YOU perform the surgery. Course also includes live chairside training & surgical planning using 3D CBCT and implant planning software. In addition, participants will work with course faculty in case documentation to ultimately present one of their live surgical completed cases that was performed. This case presentation will occur on the last day following LIVE surgeries and enables each doctor to complete this immersion style program with the knowledge and techniques learned during the week long program.
Participants, dependent on skill level, will be given fifteen implants for usage during live patient implant surgeries. Surgical procedures assigned to participants include sinus lifts, ridge splits, ramus bone harvesting and advanced grafting, immediate implant placements, learning to draw venous blood for autologous membrane fabrication, as well as perform full arch rehabilitation utilizing angled implant therapy "All-On-4/X" protocols along with immediate loading with removable-fixed prostheses. Disclaimer:
Our passion at the Institution of Dental Advancement is to make sure that each of our participants will place between 10-15 implants and be able to assist with the placment of 10-15 implants, however; I.D.A cannot guarantee a specific number of implants placed, surgical or prosthetic procedures to be performed by any attendee during the course. This is because doctors possess different surgical skills that will affect the overall outcome of the surgeries. Unexpected and inevitable surgical errors, or prolonged surgical times, will result in a diminished number of implants or grafting procedures being completed by the attending doctors. If a surgical error is done, or a patient that is brought by an attending doctor; is not medically qualified at the time of surgery, that patient will not be replaced to perform the same procedure.
This is not a diploma course. Certificates, not diplomas, will be awarded.
All participants must be licensed dentists in the state of Texas, and carry individual malpractice insurance covering their scope of dental practice to include surgical placement of dental implants.
